So rightly is, these words in a person named Monjoy Mukerji. Currently the Proprietor of MJM Productions who has successfully lead a team of over 100 people in his Production. He has also worked and given opportunities to several musicians, Singers, lyric writers, Directors, writers and Director of Photography.
Grand son to Late Shree Sashadhar Mukerji- Pioneer and Founder of Indian Cinema who Produced over 70 films spread over five decades from From AchutKanya” ( 1936 ), Kismet ( 1942) Bombay Talkies to Filmistan Studio’s –Jagruti, Anarkali, Nagin, Munimji, Paying Guest, Tumsa Nahi Dekha to Filmalaya Studio’s “ Love in Simla, Dil Deke Dekho, Ek Musafir Ek Hasina “ Hum Hindustani to AaoPyaarKare ( in the 70s- Filmalaya Studio ).
Son to the Romantic Star of the 60’s era, Late Shree Joy Mukerji. Some of his hits and memorable films- Love in Simla, Ek Musafir Ek Hasina, Love in Tokyo, Ziddi, Shagird, Hum Saaya, Yeh Zindigi kitni Haseen hai , Hum Hindustani, Bahu Beti, Aao Pyaar Kaarein, Door ki Awaz.
A Writer/ Director/ Producer by Profession, Monjoy Mukerji is the Proprietor of MJM Productions that has produced corporate audio- visuals, commercials and Tele Shows like Aye- Dile- Nadan for Door Darshan under the flagship of late Father’s Shree Joy Mukerji. He also released the unreleased work of his Father “ Love in Bombay” on August 2nd 2013. He is also the Director of Filmalaya Studio ( A Private ltd C.O ). Filmalaya Studios is one of the oldest studios in Bombay. It was founded by Late Shree Sasadhar Mukerji in the year 1958.
Wrote, directed and Co Produced an Indian Feature Film “ Hai Apna Dil Toh Awara”, a comedy drama that released in the Indian theatres on the 5th of Aug 2016. The film was loved by the audience. The film can now be seen on Amazon Prime.
His upcoming Projects are : - A comedy dram- feature film written and directed by Monjoy Joy Mukerji and a web series under pre production to be Produced under the flagship of his father Late Shree Joy Mukerji Enterprises, An MJM Productions.
His main objective of making a film is To translate good stories that are unique in their own way on to the celluloid screen for the cinema lover all round the world.

The Rajasthan International Film Festival (RIFF) 2017 turned out to be eventful as filmmakers from all over the world participated in it to showcase their feature films and short films. Among them who had a dream-come-true moment was Monjoy Joy Mukerji, the eldest son of yesteryear actor Joy Mukerji. He won the coveted award for the Best Debutant Director at RIFF for his movie 'Hai Apna Dil Toh Awara', a romcom based on modern relationships.
Monjoy remembered his late legendary father, who was India's first chocolate-hero, when his name was announced as the Best Debutant Director. He said, "I am thankful to the entire team of my film, the producers, actors,technical crew,composers and lyricists. I dedicate this award to my late father Joy Mukerji" Monjoy has revived the era of musical romantic movies, which were an integral part of Joy Mukerji's movies as he has shot a major part of his film in the picturesque locations of Kashmir. The director is now penning down the script for his next feature film as well as a web series.
